I am from Canada and never thought I would get the chance to meet Whitney. Than this year at Cma music fest I had the chance to meet her at the convention center. I went there at 7 in the morning and stood in line just to get the chance to meet her. Every body else is like why are you not trying meet the bigger artist and I said that she is the one artist I have always wanted to meet. I have been following her career since Nashville star and been waiting for her album to come out and when I heard it was coming out earlier this year I can’t tell you how excited I was. I saw her at the softball game and never dreamed a few days later I would be getting to meet her. I met her 3 times that week and had an amazing time at her fan club party it was the best party ever. Had a blast at it and can’t wait till next year. Also seeing her rock the chevy music stage and meeting her after the proformence great and have her r ember me there it was the best thing ever and made me so happy. I could believe she remembered me out everyone she had ment that week and that is special when an artist does thing like that and remembers there fans. That means alot to me and I think artist like that are great. She is a very friendly down to earth person and the nicest person I have ever ment. She made my week getting meet one or my idols. I can’t wait tille next year to get to hopefully see her and meet her again! This time hopefully she’ll be playing LP field. Whitney your awesome stay true to your self and keep on going forward and working on your career good luck girl.

The first song of Whitney Duncan’s I ever heard was her cover of ‘The First Cut Is The Deepest’ from Nashville Star, and I’ve been a fan ever since. Living in the UK, I could only get her first album, ‘Whitney Duncan’ on UK iTunes and had to wait a while until I could get ‘Right Road Now’. I fell in love with both albums and hoped one day that I would get to meet her and tell her how much I loved them. Being from the UK, though, I didn’t think there was any chance of that. Even when I had decided to go to Nashville for CMA Music Fest I didn’t think I’d get to meet her because I had no idea she would be signing anywhere… little did I know I would actually meet her 3 times while I was there
The first time I met Whitney was at the City of Hope softball game. I told everyone to let me know when she was heading our way so I could say hi to her, and when she did head our way my friend and I got her attention, and I told her I’d come from the UK to see her. Then I made my way down to the front and took my picture with her and she signed my program
I was ecstatic for the rest of the evening because I couldn’t believe I met her. Then when I got back to the hotel, I tweeted her and thanked her for taking a picture with me at the game, and she tweeted back saying: ‘I freaking love your accent’. I just about died. lol.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better than that… I meet her for the second time
My friend and I were just walking around the convention center, when she pulled me into this line and shouted ‘look, Brit, it’s Whitney Duncan!’ I couldn’t believe I was gonna meet her again… but properly this time. I was so nervous while I was in line, I was even shaking a little. When I went up to meet her she gave me a big hug (which made my whole trip, I think). When she went to sign a picture for me she asked what my name was and I said ‘Amber’ (in my British accent), she paused for a moment and said ‘how do you spell that?’ Luckily I had a bracelet with my name on it, so I showed her and she said ‘Oh, AMBER! Sorry, it’s because of your accent. Haha!’ The whole thing was a little embarrassing because I was SO star struck. I’ve met famous people before and I’ve never acted like that, but I was so excited to meet her because I love her so much
The third time I met her was a few hours later at the fan party. I didn’t realise she was doing a meet & greet after the set, which, by the way, was AMAZING! This was the first time I’ve heard her sing live, and she was incredible! After seeing that, I personally think she should do an acoustic album
lol. I was even happier because she sang ‘Burn It Down’, which is my favourite song of hers
Anyway, after the performance, I got in line again so I could redeem myself for being such a goof earlier at the convention center, and also get the picture signed that I bought just in case I met her while I was in Nashville. I went up to her and she gave me another hug, and she remembered me from earlier
I apologised for how I acted during the meet & greet at the convention center, and she was so sweet about it and told me not to apologise. She signed my picture, and before she could ask for my name, I just showed her my bracelet. lol. Cutest thing ever when she said my name in a British accent! Haha!
I’ve tweeted her a few times, and she’s called me her ‘fave Brit’ a couple of times, which I love! Haha! I take pride in my new title
lol.
I met a lot of artists while in Nashville, but I can honestly say that meeting Whitney was the highlight (or were the highlights – lol) of my trip, and she is the sweetest, most sincere celebrity I have ever met. Can’t wait to go to CMA Fest 2011 and hopefully see her again… but this time at the LP Field

Whitney Duncan performed at typhoon saloon on Weds May 19.
Prior to the show she did a meet and greet with the other artists performing. Whitney stood around one table talking to her fans. I went up to talk to her. I had met her back in 2008 when she was doing her radio tour. I have been a fan of hers since I saw “When I said I Would.” When I had heard through eventful she would be coming to San Diego I was excited beyond belief and bought a VIP ticket the day they went on sale.
When I met her I had brought her 2007 CD to get autographed. I already had Right Road Now autographed. We had a conversation about it, and she said they were selling the new CD. I told her I bought it the day it came out. She thanked me for that. I said that I almost wore the shirt to try to get her to sign it. Her reply was she would have. Whitney was extremely personable. At the end of the conversation I told her she had beautiful eyes. I ran into a friend there and she had never heard of Whitney Duncan, but by the end she was a fan too.
During the show she played song from Right Road Now. She was the second person to sing each time. Patrick Davis was first, Whitney, John Eddie, and Jason Michael Carroll. She opened with Kinda Crazy, Then When I said I would. Then she told a story about Skinny Dippin’ and ended it with Little by little. There was a lot of joking around on stage.
She is one of the most beautiful women on the planet and after meeting her the first time I became a fan and after she wrote to me on her website I became a fan for life. She is an extremely talented lady. I forgot to ask about her bikini shoot and her heart surgery. It was a great performance from an extremely talented lady. I hope she comes to San Diego again soon.

It all started a week ago when I won the tickets online at the radio station. Having to drive almost an
hour to pick them up blows the free ticket part of it of the water, but that was okay. After asking everyone
I knew to go, I ended up going with my father, but that is okay we go to a lot of shows with each other. I only
won normal tickets so I wanted to upgrade to the vip tickets. The site read “vip guest gets snacks and two
hour meet and greet with the artist” so I was like I have too. After some paper mix up
we got the vip tickets free no upgrade needed. So, I go down sitting in row two behind the stage (behind
some very….lets say happy JCM fans). so i sat there waiting…waiting…. no one came out. So much for that “two hour meet and greet” but about 45 mins
from 8 (when the show should start) they came out! JCM came right down to where I was sitting everyone flipping
out. I got up to take my picture with him, forgetting to bring anything to sign so he had to sign my ticket. He was
really nice and sweet saying hi to everyone. I got pretty much stuck down stairs over JMC being down there, but i was able to slip up stairs to where Whitney was. I was like “omg there she is” in my head. Not having to wait too long it was my turn! I never know what to say lol. I was just like “hi” and the normal jazz. She signed my wrist band and I asked if if she could call someone and she said sure. I called up @ashley018 to get ring ring ring.. hello answering machine! so she left her a little message. I said thank you for that, knowing that not everyone would do that but she did! After I met Whitney I walked back to my seat. Then I remembered I forgot to tell her about twitter so I went back to her and smiled saying “I had to say hi again, you answered me on twitter!” she was like “I did whats your name on there? most don’t have pictures of themselves”. I was like I am @tylerhiltonfans. she was like “oh! I am glad you made it!” she smiled and hugged me. She was so sweet, I took a picture for another fan and she had leave to get ready back stage so i sat back down. Not knowing who the song writers were, I didnt meet them. I wish I would have after that show! At 8pm the staff came out and there was raffle for guitar and posters signed by everyone [the show's money was going to Nashville redcross] I was crossing my fingers, but no luck, but the girl behind me won the guitar! then… waiting again. 8:30 pm came at last! Everyone came out all four of them [+jcm bandmates] and sat down. Patrick Davis and John Eddie were the two song writers after a bit of hearing his name and seeing his face I knew of who Pat was! He was a very nice guy and great singer. now Eddie…. was another story. He made the show very… lets say adult lol!
All his songs where about dirty jokes, dirty things, drinking and girls. It was really funny though, he made everyone laugh. Pat had a few songs of his own, or he sang with JMC, along with playing the guitar when Whitney was singing. They all took turns. Pat went then Whitney and John, JMC went last. It was nice and they told lots of jokes and stuff.
Whitney’s turn was up and she did great singing about four songs? I am so bad at remembering what they all sang, but I know I heard “When I said I Would”, she sang “Skinny Dippin” too. The boys were all like “she will do that at the hotel tonight”. She was like “NO! I checked the water… its too cold!” Then she said “we used to do this I dont know if my parents do but, ew that is sick!” [I got video of that!] in the middle of it all miss Whitney said a joke that i wont say here, but got video of it! JMC did really great singing few of his hit songs, then two “never heard of songs!” that were
great, they all did amazing! I loved it the show ended around 10:30. I was able to buy a hard copy of Whitney’s CD that was signed and got free picture!! Very amazing night! Big night of great music and jokes what a night!
