Whitney Duncan makes Lisa’s dream come true during CMA Fest week!

I was hoping and praying everyday for one day to meet Whitney Duncan and everyone knows that I’m a huge fan of hers! I had one wish and one dream going into Nashville for CMA Fest week. That wish and dream was to finally meet my hero, my inspiration and my role model, Whitney Duncan! My story was out and it was finally told, I was on the right road now in Nashville! My wish and my dream came true when I finally met Whitney but I met her more than once! I forgot how many times I actually met her, I lost count but each time was beyond amazing and every time I met her, I felt like we were best friends, I consider Whitney not just my hero but also a friend! I’ve been waiting to meet her since forever, I’ve been bugging her to come to Buffalo, NY so many times. I was heading to Nashville knowing that Whitney will be there for CMA Fest week and I had to make the best out of this Nashville trip and I did just that! I would definitely travel the world to see her, definitely worth it! I have so much to say but I’ll try to keep it short. I met her the first time at the City of Hope softball game but in the parking lot. She noticed me and she ran over to me and hugged me, best feeling in the world! She said “Finally!” She was so happy to meet me and I was so happy to finally meet her! I couldn’t believe that this was actually happening, I’m meeting Whitney! I don’t know who was more excited, me or Whitney! She’s so gorgeous and so amazing in person! I even said I felt like I was special and she told me that I was special, actually Whitney, you’re special! I got her autograph, we talked for alittle bit and we took our picture, it was most definitely the best day of my entire life! Few other times I met her at the Convention Center. I met her at the GAC booth and this time was even better than the first time and I didn’t think that was even possible! I asked for a hugging picture and she was all for it! Let me just say that Whitney gives the best hugs ever! I met her again at the Greased Lightning booth which we did 2 gangster pictures and she said that she was pretty much gangster and she is! We did the “W” sign but I said it meant “Whitney!” I met her again at the Family Zone where she was reading to the little kids and it was so adorable! Of course I met her at her Fan Club party, the party was so incredible and I had so much fun! I also met her parents at the Fan Club party, it was very nice meeting Whitney and her parents! Her dog Duchess was even there, so cute! Whitney and her family are so down to earth and very sweet! I help run Whitney’s Fan Twitter and Fansite with 3 other girls. We have fun running it together, supporting and showing our love for Whitney! We finally all met together and we all finally got a couple pictures with Whitney, we even did a Charlie’s Angels picture, which was really cute! When I met Whitney at the Fan Club party, I had some presents for her. I showed her mom the one gift first and she said that Whitney is going to love it! I gave Whitney an engraved wine glass that said “Right Road Now- Whitney Duncan” with a music note and Whitney most definitely loved it! She even had me take a picture of her with it and then we took one together! I also gave her a life supply of her favorite gum and a Starbucks gift card which she loved too! I met Whitney again after her Chevy stage performance which by the way she was beyond amazing like always and it was a blast, I waited outside in the heat for a long time but it was definitely worth it! Each time I met Whitney, it was so much fun, we talked for a long time, we took pictures, she signed things for me and for prizes for the Fan Twitter! She took all the time and effort to meet all of her fans and with me, she’s so incredible! To this day, I’m still so happy and excited that I finally met her and each day was the best day of my life, my dream finally came true! Whitney is the most down to earth and sweetest person I’ve ever met, I mean that and I promise you that! If you get the chance to ever see her in concert and meet her, do it! She’s beyond amazing and it’s definitely worth it! Whitney is such a sweetheart, she’s so sweet, funny, amazing, incredible, caring, beautiful (both in and out) and so awesome! She is so wonderful with her fans! She cares so much about her fans and she loves all of her fans! I’m so proud to be a fan of hers forever and always, I’ll always support Whitney! She is an incredible role model, inspiration and hero for many including myself! She’s so devoted and dedicated! Whitney is truly the best and she most definitely deserves the best! She is a gift from god and an beautiful angel, words can’t describe how amazing and sweet she really is! I just wanted to say Thank you to Whitney for giving me 3 awesome friends, Jenna, Alyssa and Brittney! I even consider you my friend Whitney, an awesome friend too! Thank you Whitney for everything that you do and for being you! I appreciate everything that you do and I love you! Thank you for finally making my dream come true, thank you for the best days of my life, you made my entire life and I enjoyed every second of it! Meeting Whitney and hanging out with her was priceless! I hope to see Whitney again! Dreams do come true and Whitney, you most definitely deserve the best and the recognition, I believe in you and I’m behind you every step of the way! You’re going to take over the world, exactly you are! You’re truly the best, god bless and best wishes! I love you!!! :D

Cody From Canada Meets Whitney

I am from Canada and never thought I would get the chance to meet Whitney. Than this year at Cma music fest I had the chance to meet her at the convention center. I went there at 7 in the morning and stood in line just to get the chance to meet her. Every body else is like why are you not trying meet the bigger artist and I said that she is the one artist I have always wanted to meet. I have been following her career since Nashville star  and been waiting for her album to come out and when I heard it was coming out earlier this year I can’t tell you how excited I was. I saw her at the softball game and never dreamed a few days later I would be getting to meet her. I met her 3 times that week and had an amazing time at her fan club party it was the best party ever. Had a blast at it and can’t wait till next year. Also seeing her rock the chevy music stage and meeting her after the proformence great and have her r ember me there it was the best thing ever and made me so happy. I could believe she remembered me out everyone she had ment that week and that is special when an artist does thing like that and remembers there fans. That means alot to me and I think artist like that are great. She is a very friendly down to earth person and the nicest person I have ever ment. She made my week getting meet one or my idols. I can’t wait tille next year to get to hopefully see her and meet her again! This time hopefully she’ll be playing LP field. Whitney your awesome stay  true to your self and keep on going forward and working on your career good luck girl.

Country Music Fan Flies From the UK Hoping to Meet Whitney Duncan During CMA Fest

The first song of Whitney Duncan’s I ever heard was her cover of ‘The First Cut Is The Deepest’ from Nashville Star, and I’ve been a fan ever since. Living in the UK, I could only get her first album, ‘Whitney Duncan’ on UK iTunes and had to wait a while until I could get ‘Right Road Now’. I fell in love with both albums and hoped one day that I would get to meet her and tell her how much I loved them. Being from the UK, though, I didn’t think there was any chance of that. Even when I had decided to go to Nashville for CMA Music Fest I didn’t think I’d get to meet her because I had no idea she would be signing anywhere… little did I know I would actually meet her 3 times while I was there :)

The first time I met Whitney was at the City of Hope softball game. I told everyone to let me know when she was heading our way so I could say hi to her, and when she did head our way my friend and I got her attention, and I told her I’d come from the UK to see her. Then I made my way down to the front and took my picture with her and she signed my program :) I was ecstatic for the rest of the evening because I couldn’t believe I met her. Then when I got back to the hotel, I tweeted her and thanked her for taking a picture with me at the game, and she tweeted back saying: ‘I freaking love your accent’. I just about died. lol.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better than that… I meet her for the second time :) My friend and I were just walking around the convention center, when she pulled me into this line and shouted ‘look, Brit, it’s Whitney Duncan!’ I couldn’t believe I was gonna meet her again… but properly this time. I was so nervous while I was in line, I was even shaking a little. When I went up to meet her she gave me a big hug (which made my whole trip, I think). When she went to sign a picture for me she asked what my name was and I said ‘Amber’ (in my British accent), she paused for a moment and said ‘how do you spell that?’ Luckily I had a bracelet with my name on it, so I showed her and she said ‘Oh, AMBER! Sorry, it’s because of your accent. Haha!’ The whole thing was a little embarrassing because I was SO star struck. I’ve met famous people before and I’ve never acted like that, but I was so excited to meet her because I love her so much :)

The third time I met her was a few hours later at the fan party. I didn’t realise she was doing a meet & greet after the set, which, by the way, was AMAZING! This was the first time I’ve heard her sing live, and she was incredible! After seeing that, I personally think she should do an acoustic album ;) lol. I was even happier because she sang ‘Burn It Down’, which is my favourite song of hers :) Anyway, after the performance, I got in line again so I could redeem myself for being such a goof earlier at the convention center, and also get the picture signed that I bought just in case I met her while I was in Nashville. I went up to her and she gave me another hug, and she remembered me from earlier :) I apologised for how I acted during the meet & greet at the convention center, and she was so sweet about it and told me not to apologise. She signed my picture, and before she could ask for my name, I just showed her my bracelet. lol. Cutest thing ever when she said my name in a British accent! Haha!

I’ve tweeted her a few times, and she’s called me her ‘fave Brit’ a couple of times, which I love! Haha! I take pride in my new title ;) lol.

I met a lot of artists while in Nashville, but I can honestly say that meeting Whitney was the highlight (or were the highlights – lol) of my trip, and she is the sweetest, most sincere celebrity I have ever met. Can’t wait to go to CMA Fest 2011 and hopefully see her again… but this time at the LP Field ;)

Whitney Duncan’s Fan Party Review

Whitney Duncan held a party for her fans at Buffalo Billiards during CMA Fest in Nashville. There was a large line of fans that have been waiting at the front door of the venue way before the doors were to open.

During the party, the fans were served with a variety of “Skinny Dippin’ Dots” ice cream and beverages. Whitney played an acoustic set of her fans favorite songs, such as “Little by Little”, “Kinda Crazy”, “Skinny Dippin”, “Right Road Now”, “Burn it Down”, “When I Said I Would”, and “So Sorry Mama”. In between songs Whitney answered any questions that fans asked, and even had a special guest, her dog, Duchess!

The fan party had a limited number of 150 guests. However, Whitney wanted all of her fans to be able attend, so we went over the guest limit a little. Due to Whitney’s huge appreciation this caused the event to go over the scheduled time by close to an hour because she wanted to sign, and get pictures made with every person that attended.

Here is what Ms Whitney had to say about her first fan party:

“I was amazed and excited to see how many fans came to my first fan club party! It was a blast and the very least I could do for the people that support my music and career. I hope everyone enjoyed the Dippin’ Dots! I didn’t even get any *laughs*, It really was an event I will always remember!”
